PD3

I heard Andrew Long, Marsteller, and PD3 are starting their own team. Problem is they can't travel to meets and be that far from their parole officers.

The denial on that Twitter account is pure comedy. WINNERS DONT SIT OUT ALL SEASON! He is still ranting & raving that he could beat Dean & Nickal.

Anyone who thinks he would be a good fit, for any reason, in the Iowa room is freaking high.

He can rant all he wants. Good entertainment for those that want to watch the train wreck. Last time I checked you had to be in it to win it and with the head start that his dad gave him I don't think he ever was.

I could be wrong though. Now they have a jump start on their freestyle aspirations so I am SURE Olympic Gold and World Titles are on their way.

NM forgot about the drug testing. He is screwed.

I just spun this into a teaching moment with my 10 yo. I said "This guy got his scholarship pulled in part bc he is running his mouth on social media" & "now he is throwing his old college under the bus on any podcast tgat will have him"....would you hire this kid? My 10 yo gets it but PD3 doesnt

Synopsis?
It's not really his fault, coaches don't care about him unless he's wrestling. Also contradicts himself on comments about KJ saying in one instance he's there for him but in another he "hates" on him. Apparently Jackson isn't coaching postseason according to him would like to know the validity of this since I've heard otherwise

Synopsis?
He didn't go to practice when he was injured, which ran counter to team rules. He doesn't live the typical D1 wrestler lifestyle (in response to partying question). He told coaches he wouldn't wrestle or practice until he was damn well ready. Comes across as delusional/inconsistent: on one hand he's ready to wrestle anybody, but on the other he won't go if he would need to make an excuse for not being 100%. Don't ask me for my opinion regarding substances in his system during the podcast.

I listened to it thinking it would be more like his twitter rants and just off the wall Charlie Sheenesque. It wasnt that but it was still chaotic ramblings of a delusional young adult. I listened to be entertained because again I thought he had created a character for himself, but now Im thinking this is who he is and I feel terrible for him. Its awful to type this but i fear there is an epic fail in this kids future when he wakes up from his hallucinations.

Agree. It's sad for sure. Just can't make the connection between action and outcome. The concept of him being a grad transfer boggles my mind.

Wasn't there a certain media member that posted on here that he had gotten to know PD3 a little personally and that he really wasn't all that bad of a person, just a little misunderstood. In addition, a lot of his crazy tweets were simply to troll Iowa fans?

This guys 15 minutes of fame are over and no one in the wrestling world will give a shit soon enough.
He may be successful. He might end up dead. From here on, it's on him.

I guarantee you he end's up dead.........we pretty much all do.

I suspect his wrestling days are over and it's onto MMA for him.

Yup and we all knew that was pure BS.

I usually like and respect JB's opinion but feel he is way off here. He wants to frame the argument as a bunch of "adults" wanting to tear a "kid" down. Multiple people have reported the kid drinking and using drugs during the season in plain view for everyone to see, continually making an ass out of himself on Twitter by calling out much more credentialed guys who actually show up to wrestle. In the real world, a guy like this would be fired from a job quickly. But because he has some talent in a sport, many want to defend him and give him multiple chances. Heard a little bit of a podcast last night and when he speaks, gone is the hard core "I am ready to wrestle and kick everybody's ass but the coach is holding me back because of injury" in place of "I'm of victim of everybody and was injured."

McRib is 22 or 23? He is a micro example of his generation. He wants to live free and do what he wants to do without consequences or being judged. When the check comes due though, he plays the victim card.

I have to say that PD3 made it hard to pull for him. PD3 was just a polarizing personality w a ton of baggage.
I for one was rooting for a success story from Long, PD3 and Marstellar. Matsteller still has a shot and hope he takes advantage and makes the best if given the opportunity.
Life sometimes does not give out 2nd chances. Just hope one of these guys can come out with one of those bad to good stories. Too many of us rooting for these kids to fail instead of turning things around and becoming positives for our sport.

I bought the Long stock after Midlands big time...defended him a lot in here because I also love a good redemption story. But McRib talked so much junk for having so little credentials. Yes, he AA'd at 197 but he's trying to parlay that into "I saved their jobs" and "took one for the team" when I believe it was weight issues that kept him up at 197.

Actions have consequences.

Many have seen this trainwreck playing out in slow motion for a while now. For most, the outcome was obvious even if the motivations were not.

I just listened to a portion of the linked audio interview with PD3. its pretty clear that there is no understanding of responsibility or consequences. At this point, the "kid," appears to be on the autism spectrum, unable to understand complex social situations, nor take responsibility for actions and has probably inherited the condition genetically from one or the other parent.

Have to wonder if, maybe deep down, this is what PD3 really wanted? I mean, he earned AA recognition last year. He has his excuses in place, e.g., they made me wrestle up a weight and I had a broken rib. Just imagine what I can do healthy and at my propor weight.

Well, he had his chance this year. He talked, and talked, and talked ... but barely stepped on the mat. Dean and Bo would thrash him. Guys like Brooks, Jackson, Dudley, and Martin would beat him as well. He would be a fringe AA candidate in a very tough 184 weight class. Instead, he gets to keep telling people how great he is without risk of embarrassing himself.

You think he is a fringe AA guy at 184 even though he hasn't been going to practice or wrestling in meets and is drinking and taking drugs? He has talent, but fringe AA seems like a stretch.

We used to think you were a fringe AA guy awhile back.....

Then we started reviewing many of your posts............

Not so much AA anymore............

Jackhawk,

I agree that without practicing, and considering his rumored drinking and drug use, he is currently no where close to an AA candidate. My comments were more in general- even if he had been competing all year I don't believe he was a title threat or a lock to AA at 184.

It has now gone from crazy to straight psychotic. I can't believe ANY college team would be reading this & be able to look past it.

Yeah.....
Just spent about 5 min on Twitter and he is totally off the tracks and headed towards a brick wall...
