Watched the 3A Iowa boys title game just now. Only the second game I have ever watched Pemsl play in.
With his bigger body size and skill set, reminds me a lot of Guy Rucker; a Tom Davis recruit in the mid-1990's.
If memory serves me correct, Rucker had one pretty outstanding season at Iowa (his sophomore year I think) and then his third year at Iowa he was considered a bit of a disappointment and then ended up not playing his final season at Iowa--which would have been Alford's first season here.
