Penalty to start 2nd half

Wasnt on board during game but chop block on Ike to start the half was it just me an Iowa homer or was that a bad call? Look like he didn't hit from behind and defender wasn't engaged with another blocker. Now when I think of chop block I think of missed call in big 10 title game on 4th down against Fischer when engaged with blocker and got legs taken out (I know let it go). Just seems like a big missed call that luckily didn't cost us like last week.

The call was debatable...but just like last week, the block was against the back side of the pursuit and really didn't need to be made. Neither defender can catch up to Daniels there cause despite his rep, once LD gets going in open field in a straight line, he's tough to catch.

That's what sucks about them.

Whatever it was, it was not a chp block.

The call was block below the waist, not a chop block. Blocks below the waist are legal on the line of scrimmage at the snap, which is why I don't think it should have been called.
