In my one trip there I thought it was the best. Iowa's is very good but PSU, IMO, ranks at the top of the other tailgate experiences I've enjoyed. That includes eight other Big Ten schools, two Big 12 (former Big 8) schools, and Notre Dame.

They are creative, have a variety of food and alcohol, friendly, welcoming even, and very football knowledgeable.

I agree. I've not been in about 8 years, but it was second to none. Mostly because they have all those big open lots right by the stadium.

I don't. Scores of stadiums have that. I like that the streets and side streets off the stadium are filled with tailgates. You are in the Kinnick Neighborhood, and it is a neighborhood.
Love the neighborhood feel. That’s one of the things that makes Lambeau Field a really cool place to see a game.

Now, I must go shower since you made me say something nice about the Packers.

That's good to hear that they aren't all douchers like happyvalleylion! Yeah every fanbase has them, but the guy has been running his mouth around here way too much this past week. Self-proclaimed tough-guy who "supposedly" roused up some Hawk fans after a game in the parking lot a few years back.
Hopefully we walk out of there with a win tomorrow and all Hawk fans who made the trip have a great time.

Agree. My favorite tailgate experiences have all been at houses or grass lots in the Melrose area or near Carver, or in similar situations elsewhere. The neighborhoods give it that comfy, homey feeling as opposed to the concrete business park feeling. Personal preference of course.
