Penn State: What did you see today & what does Iowa need to do on Oct 27?

I watched most of that game. Pedo State has a good offense. The Hawks are better at almost every defensive position. The Pedos are much stronger with the officials. If the Iowa defense plays like they did against Bucky the Badger we have a real good chance to win this game. The Pedo's defense is nothing special.

Agree that containing McButtSorley is critical. Fortunately or DE’s have been doing that all year. Wonder if we might see more of the 4-2-5 as well

It will be a tough road game for Iowa. Them not having Barkley this year is a huge plus.

I would say stop the run and make Mcsorley beat Iowa with his arm. Make sure he can't run or at least try to limit that aspect of his game.

No penalties again would be a huge help.

The trip to Penn State is a long, tiresome one. Seemed like 2 years ago they showed up with jet lag.

If we are rested and show up with our A game, I like our chances.

It's a one hour time difference. They will go at least one day before, maybe two. I've never understood the jet lag excuse. It seems to me like it's exactly that, an excuse. Same thing when they travel out west.

Remember the last time we went there? Barkley said Iowa quit in the 2nd half. And the way we lost last year at Kinnick, on the final play? And then McSorely punts the ball? Hopefully that makes the Hawks a little more motivated to kick some ass in Happy Valley..
