Was it always this way with KOK as well? There is almost nothing that changes, not a "wrinkle" (as KF likes to mention sometimes) in sight. I have long since glossed over many of the KOK issues from the past, but wondering if the predictable stuff has always been this way. :(

It's pretty hard to do anything interesting or different when the defense is in your backfield almost immediately. the line play has created lots of struggles for the team this year.

The last "wrinkle" we had was against Arkansas State. We ran the end around reverse with McNutt and he tried to throw it. So I hope that answers your question...

If you don't have any 'wrinkles' then the line can trust their reads and play faster than they are. Put some 'wrinkles' in and maybe the opponent has to play a half step slower when they question their read a little more looking for some deception.

Or similar to Derrick Mitchell throwing a HB pass to I believe it was Vandeberg last year against Minnesota, but I digress.........................

I listened to the game and Dolph even noticed it, he didn't realize it but he did. Said 'the defense just sprints to that side of the field ' they had no concerns or worries about anything else. You can play faster that way.

Yep. Been a problem at Iowa for many years under Kirk. Way too predictable. Sometimes we have the horses to make up for it. Often, we don't. Hence, lots of mediocre records.
