15-20 years ago, I would have been right with the crowd who is scared about Iowa Football and its current recruiting year, or lack thereof.
I used to think recruiting was 90% of the game. I am still a believer that the higher ranked players a school recruits, the more success that school will have in the years to come.
With all that said, KF and staff have repeatedly proven themselves over the last 20 years to be outliers of that theory.
I find myself comparing our current recruiting issues to when Covid arrived and the stock market plummeted 35% all at once and everyone wanted out. To quote Aaron Rodgers, ”Relax.” Not only did the market correct itself, but it continued its momentum from the year before.
Perspective: recruiting these last 60 days will not send the program into trouble. Everything will be just fine. Relax.
