Yes, Iowa played a bad game today. Yes, everyone is disappointed. But if you told that Iowa would go 12-2 overall and get to the Rose Bowl, would you have taken that in a heart beat? I know I would have. I see people on the board calling the team a joke. That same team has gone out for 13 games this season among all the doubters and played their hearts out. Ya Cowherd and other media guys are gonna say that Iowa is not a good team and a joke. Well as a fan of the team I'd rather support the players who put on the Iowa uniform and worked all year long. I'm proud of the way Iowa competed all season and I won't let that change because they didn't play well in one game.

I had us at 8-4 so after the newness of this game passes I can look back at this as a great season. Just don't want any part of thinking like that tonight.
There was nobody that thought Iowa could go 12-0. Obviously today's game was disappointing and I think Iowa played really poorly but it was a special year. I am sure the team will be motivated during this coming off season on how the last game went. Lot of players back and hopefully Iowa can improve in some areas. Lot to be excited about for next year.
Iowa had a great season with a bunch of hard-nosed two and three star kids who played their hearts out against an admittedly winnable schedule and the reward for this is having to play one of the elite teams in the country. I am proud of the Hawkeyes and will take a season like this any year. We got beat today by a team with twice as much talent.
Hopefully, this game will light a fire under this teams ass and get them hungry for next season. We have a lot of players returning that should be chomping at the bit to get back to the rose bowl and get another shot. I just thik these lights were a tad to bright for this hawkeye team this year. It is intimidating for 18-23 year old kids to go on to such a big stage when they have never been there before. I really think this game will bode well for Iowa heading into next season and prepare Iowa to act like they have been there because they have been.

Agree. Seems like the team referred to the 2014 year and how they played a lot so I am sure they will refer to this Rose bowl game a lot. A lot of players coming back at each position and I am sure they will want to win big again.
Yes, Cowherd was right saying that we would lose, but I don't think Iowa is a "fake id." I also don't agree with him saying Iowa shouldn't be a top team because of recruiting stars.

But one loss doesn't make the team's effort throughout the season a "joke." I don't see fans of teams like Wisconsin, Northwestern, etc. calling their team a joke.

Wisconsin lost three straight Rose Bowls, are they a joke? the third rose bowl they went to, they made the big ten title game besause Ohio state and penn state were both in sanctions that year. I guess they are a " fraud, posers and fake id" that year.
Actually, yes, and they were before but I get your point. Solid team, but nowhere near the caliber to play in the Sugar.
And if Iowa is a joke than how come Iowa has won a bcs bowl and ran the table more recently than Wisconsin and northwestern. And besides Iowa this year and Ohio state in 2012 and 2013 not sure the last big ten team to run the table.
