I thought he gave us good minutes of defense in the first half when we gained momentum. It may not have filled the stat sheet, but he was an important part of the win.
He will be a key starter next year.
I would agree with your comments (and on the boards).I thought he gave us good minutes of defense in the first half when we gained momentum. It may not have filled the stat sheet, but he was an important part of the win.
Uh..Peyton Sandford, the stud soph PF??Who is Peyton?
It’s Payton not Peyton. We are going to see this for 4 years just like “Conner” MccAffery.Uh..Peyton Sandford, the stud soph PF??
And sandfort not sandford. There's still people that screw up Ferentz and he's been around longer than most of his team members have been alive. It’s Payton not Peyton. We are going to see this for 4 years just like “Conner” MccAffery.

Thanks, that’s the joke. He’s also not a soph or a PF. He is a stud though, that part was no joke. And sandfort not sandford. There's still people that screw up Ferentz and he's been around longer than most of his team members have been alive.
I think that he will give Pmac a battle for a starting spot.Over PMac, Kris, or Perkins?
I don’t think so but he has a very good set of skills, with that I agreeI think that he will give Pmac a battle for a starting spot.
What I do have are a very particular set of skils, skills that I have acquired over a very long career.I don’t think so but he has a very good set of skills, with that I agree
Agreed. And I like that he is exploring his game - hes obviously a lights out shooter but yesterday he turned down an ok look from 3 to try for a more open mid-range shot. It didn't work, but I love that he wants to be able to attack in multiple ways instead of just being a 3 point specialist. That will make him a nightmare to defend as he developsPlays with a lot of confidence for a true Frosh. Doesn't look like a first year guy out there.
Yep, but he also got 5 boards. This is the kind of stuff that makes a team good at tourney time...every player finding ways he can contribute. Fran's teams have sometimes been weak on D and rebounding. This squad has figured both out...could take them into the second weekend of the Dance. He’s a bit of a gunner and shot hunter, but that’s not a terrible thing. One guy on the team like that is ok. His confidence is contagious. I wouldn’t be surprised if he leads us in scoring or rebounding next year. And an excellent passer. He may not start with all we have coming back, but he will get starter minutes.
2 points, 1 assist and 5 rebounds in 9 minutes is a very good stat sheet.I thought he gave us good minutes of defense in the first half when we gained momentum. It may not have filled the stat sheet, but he was an important part of the win.

It would have been really foolish to assume that. And he shot 49% from three in high school, so one would assume with more time on the court his percentage would go up a bit.
Battle, yes, but I don't see it going in Sandfort favor.I think that he will give Pmac a battle for a starting spot.
Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. What I do have are a very particular set of skils, skills that I have acquired over a very long career.
