Exchanged a few text messages with Class of 2022 point guard Dasonte Bowen following his official visit to Iowa this past weekend and Rivals.com's Rob Cassidy will also be catching up with him at the Pangos All-American Camp this week.
Here are some quotes from my conversation with Bowen.

Q: What were the highlights of the Iowa visit for you?
BOWEN: The highlight was definitely being able to have dinner with Coach McCaffery and the staff with my parents as well. Also, getting to spend time and hang out with the guys on the team.
Q: Who was your host and how did you feel you fit in with the team members you were able to spend time with?
BOWEN: My host was Patrick McCaffery, but I was with the whole team for the most part. I felt great around them and they accepted me right in.
Q: What did the coaches discuss as far as the plan if you were to go there and how you would fit in?
BOWEN: I got to watch film with the coaches, both of me and of the team, just showing how specific plays I make could fit into how they play, pushing the ball, creating plays, and different shot selections.
