I think the defense will be every bit as good if not better than last year. No reason to believe that they won't be top 10 at a minimum again with all of the experience coming back and I'll be surprised if they aren't top 6 in efficiency for the 4th straight year. Last year Jackson took a few games to settle in. This year he hits the ground running alongside Higgins. One of, if not the best linebacker tandems that Phil has ever had. Losing Coop hurts, but everyone else back there has another year of experience. Phil also sounds very positive about the dline as expected.
Once again all of the pressing questions will center around keeping everyone healthy and fielding an offense that isn't offensive. If they can do that this can be a great year.
