some of you probably saw me mention Mack Leftwich, 28/29 year old Offensive Coordinator at Incarnate Word. Yes, Inxarnate is and FCS program. Yes, he is pretty young and potentially unpolished. But, look at the numbers:
Incarnate Word (UIW) 2-0
total offense: 3rd
Rushing offense: 45th
Passing Offense: 1st
Passing efficiency: 1st
Scoring offense: 2nd (59.5 ppg)
3rd down conversion: 9th
and just so you know it’s complementary….
Total Defense: 61st
I get the whole thing about balance.
I get that the kid is young…..but consider this, Hayden Fry took a chance on a young OLine coach once too. Worked out pretty well!
