I never watch the nba but was curious if it's likely jw and lg will both be playing?

If so I'll probably tune in :)

First, unless injured, I'd expect both to play, Garza probably more that JW.

Second, if someone "loves" basketball, I don't understand how that someone doesn't watch the pinnacle of the sport.

Yeah, why would you want to watch the best players play a sport you supposedly like?

20 years from now, we'll look back to the current crop of players and realize at least 4-5 of the top 50 players ever were playing in the late 10s-early 20s.

Something something...no defense...it's not basketball...they don't try...it's all one on one...
Those are the standard cliches of people who don't watch the Association but act like they know what they're talking about. Clueless buffoons.

Well, I don't watch the NBA and I don't consider myself a "clueless buffoon." Of course, I would apply that characterization to someone who would lump millions of people into a group just because they didn't like something they did.

You seemed to have only read half the comment & missed the point.

so because i like college basketball I must like the nba?
ok... guess I have to watch more nfl too since I watch 5x as much college football!

btw if college players start turning into whiny millionaires, the day could come where I quit watching it too :(

I got NBA League Pass. Took up most of the second quarter lol. I'll start watching all their games.

i found a link.

I see that neither has entered the game. hopefully that changes in the 2nd half. ;)

Both Detroit & SA have played 10 players through the first half of the game.

Personally, I’m just not a fan of the NBA. I used to be when I was younger. I’ll tune in on a rare occasion to see certain players or see a bit of the finals. But really haven’t followed it with any seriousness since the Bulls had Jordan.
I’d rather watch a college game.

I understand complaints about regular season, too many games and all that. But nba playoffs are a thrill. Nets/bucks, Mavs/clippers, hawks/6ers were all fun series. I really thought Chris Paul was going to ruining my favorite teams chance for a title but then he did the opposite.

You’re not a lone though. Not many Iowans follow nba much.

Actually it should read Not many Americans follow NBA much and the younger they are, the less they watch.

I did watch some of the finals specifically to watch Chris Paul. I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I like him as a player.
