The first one was delightful. Excellent musical performances (if you like that kind of thing), cute chicks, didn't take itself too seriously but took itself seriously enough to get the important parts right.

The reason I watched it is because I stumbled across a YouTube clip on a cappella boot camp and took a look

If you haven't seen Pitch Perfect and don't know if you'd like "this sort of thing," watch this. It's one of the better performances. So if you don't like it, give the show a pass. But if you do, there's a good bit more of that sort of thing in the movie.
