Their schedule sets up pretty nice for them for Narduzzi to have them make a run at their ACC division. 3 - 1 now and should win two of the next three with only 1 road game out of the last 5. Amazing how many good defenses (Youngstown State score aside) there are in the Midwest right now. Wisconsin, Michigan, Pitt, Northwestern, Minnesota, Penn St, Notre Dame, Iowa, all have better squads on that side of the ball than on "O" (some of it due to poor QB play on some of those teams I realize but the fact remains that so many of these games are SUCH physical slugfests due to good defenses). It makes for a lot of close, low scoring games moving forward. That doesn't even include Ohio State and Michigan State who may have better athletes on that side of the ball than anyone else and will get their defenses going by year end. TCU is 5 - 0 having scored 50 + in each game but only manages 23 against Minnesota. Illinois is getting better on D it appears. Hawks seem to always have close games every week so this year will likely be no different.
