Announced that he has changed the date for Homecoming next Oct. Rather than MN playing Oct 29 vs. Indiana, it is now Oct 6 vs. Iowa. He was asked by Sid Hartman "wouldn't you prefer to have a Homecoming opponent that you are confident you will beat?" Fleck replied absolutely! Must be confident they'll find success vs the Hawks next yr.

I suppose this could be bulletin board material, but as far as Homecoming goes, Oct 6 is a much more desirable date, especially that far north. Also, since Iowa and Minn played in Nov for so many years, it is unique for them to have Iowa as a Homecoming opponent for their alumni to experience.
How did you really expect Fleck to answer that question?

If they are afraid of a team that hasn't won more than 7 games in 25 years, then so be it
