Pretty nasty stuff. We live next to a wooded area, and now we've got a pretty big patch of it next to our yard.

I talked to a naturalist today - he said Linn County is full of the stuff due to the derecho. The tree loss caused a loss of shade (hemlock doesn't like shade apparently) and disturbing the ground from all the tree debris removal allowed excellent growing conditions for the stuff. The seeds can live under ground for years waiting for the right conditions.

It sounds like it's going to take us years to get it under control.

Yes, it's a "first world" problem. But, it also kinda sucks.

Anyone on HROT dealing with it?
