Poll: Bush's campaign withering in the summer heat!!!

Jeb Bush thought that he was the GOP "Anointed One".
He never counted on "Trump-mania". Jeb is not a
charismatic individual and comes across as a frustrated
man on TV. The American public does not want another
Bush in the White House. End of story.

Jeb is out there this week suggesting that he offers a positive, aspirational message v. a negative message based on insulting everyone out there.

Trump will probably get around to everyone eventually, but by then his act will have simply grown old and his campaign will have imploded under its own weight.

I admit to thinking that ridiculing Rosie and Carlos Danger was humorous ... and I definitely like Trump's reality-show style (He has clearly demonstrated that the hyperbolic political correctness in this country has run its course). ... but:

Jeb's ideas are clearly superior to the inchoate and disconnected nonsense that Trump is tossing around. (Even Paul Krugman made fun of his understanding of economics ... and made sense in the process, if you can believe that.) Jeb will still be standing come next March or so, having amassed a few delegates.

Charismatic?

We have a so-called charismatic president now ... and it is being suggested that we might want another one? Why don't we try finding someone who is passionate about his well thought-out beliefs? You know ... someone who believes what he is saying and who better yet, understands what he is saying.

I love that Trump is bashing Bush for not using his last name in campaign ads, and for speaking Spanish at campaign events. Speak American, Dammit!!!!!

Jeb's main problem is everyone can tell he is a milquetoast. Putin would take his woman from him, and he'd never try that with Obama.

I love this one of Trump shining the light on these two crime families. The 2 videos sum it up.

Trump ad hits back at Jeb: If I’m the liberal, why are you giving Hillary Clinton awards for public service?

A smart counter to Jeb’s ad this morning. Trump could have gone after Bush for his heresies on policy, like immigration or Common Core, but swiping at him for his coziness with the Clintons is a more viscerally populist message. After all, the point of Trumpmania isn’t that he’ll govern more conservatively than Bush if elected, it’s that he’ll smash the system built by the ruling class to rig things to their own advantage. Who better embodies that system than the Bushes and Clintons? In fact, the special squeamishness of a Bush/Clinton election isn’t just that it would involve dynasties on both sides, it’s that those two dynasties have themselves developed a sort of familial relation by virtue of Bill Clinton’s closeness with George H.W. Bush. The spectacle of Jeb, the would-be GOP nominee, giving his “sister-in-law,” the would-be Democratic nominee, an award for public service despite knowing how that photo op would play during the election captures the hauteur of the whole enterprise. Who cares if conservatives didn’t like it? He’s a Bush. It’s his nomination by right. Watch the second clip below of the award ceremony, held in 2013, in which Jeb jokes about the coming election. Any other aspiring GOP nominee would have had to think carefully about participating in something like that with Hillary. Not Jeb, or so he thought. This ad is Trump’s populist way of signaling that he’s going to make the Bushes play by the same rules that everyone else has to. Which is a mighty ironic message coming from Donald Trump, but Trumpmania doesn’t do irony.

It’s also a clever way for Trump to deflect his own Hillary problem. Jeb may have given her a medal but at least he didn’t donate to her campaign or invite her to his wedding. Trump’s spin on that so far has been smart — I only did it because I had to, because this rotten system requires me to pay fealty to the ruling class to do business in America — but a little tu quoque at Jeb’s expense can’t hurt either. Anyway, you’re bound to see variations of this ad from every Republican who’s still in contention in the race come, say, December, so enjoy Trump getting the ball rolling. Exit quotation from the man himself: “I’m turning down millions of dollars of campaign contributions—feel totally stupid doing so, but hope it is appreciated by the voters.” Who do you suppose that’s aimed at?

I heartily disagree with this one. One problem with the U.S. as far as our competitiveness goes is that hardly anyone is bilingual ... including the current president.

Nearly every other country in the world encourages or requires their kids to learn a second language. If domestic companies could find Americans who spoke the various languages, they could place them in jobs all over the world. Instead, we hire foreign nationals to fill positions both there and here. This blows a good portion of the value of our exports. ... again the singularly most significant piece of any plan to grow our economy.

... and for the record, J, E, and B are his initials ... the "B" stands for Bush.

........................................................................

If I had to guess which foreign language Trump speaks, I would guess "French" ... assuming that he is indeed bilingual. ... and as we all know that is the second language of John Kerry, an individual who has already been rejected for the presidency. May I submit this was in part because he spoke such a sissy language.

I'm not sure I'd be citing Krugman since he's made some of the most bizarre statements about economics I've ever read. Trump isn't my choice but Krugman isn't the guy I'm going to for lessons on economics.

Jeb is toast. Kevin Williamson literally HATES Trump, but he has an excellent asking "Why Jeb?". It's just hard to make a good case for Jeb over pretty much any other Republican. From Common Core to immigration, Jeb is just wrong. He was governor a long time ago and his record is skewed positively in large part because of the housing bubble which was in full force in Fla during the 90's.

You may not like it but today's president has to have some charisma. Jeb has no charisma. He put a women to sleep today at his speech. He's boring and he comes across as pissed off that people don't think he should be the anointed choice.

I don't disagree with you that Trump's act could run thin after awhile, and someone else will emerge, but it's not going to be Jeb. It will probably be Carly, Rubio, or Cruz. All have charisma, are excellent debaters, very intelligent, and specific plans to fix problems.

Right now the only person who doesn't realize Jeb is done is Jeb himself. Even his supporters are jumping ship. 3 top advisers have left in the past week, he's bleeding money, and fundraisers have stopped contributing to him. There's a reason why some of the Jeb financial supporters are pleading, in fact, begging for Romney to get in the race. They know Jeb can't win.

No one will give credit for this. The I in ISIS stands for Islamic and BHO gets zero credit for saying it all the time.

This is greatly overrated. First, they can find people who speak various languages. If it's that valuable they'll find it. Secondly, they will pay to train someone to speak the language. My nephew worked for a Fortune 100 company in IT, and was sent to China for a year. He didn't know Chinese. The company made him take some class where he learned a little Chinese (basically like greeting and things like that).

BTW, I think Trump was wrong in his criticism of Bush. There are literally dozens of things to criticize Jeb about, but bilingualism isn't one of them.
