Almost rented an apartment in Jersey City owned by one of the original Muppets creators. /csb
I have been looking for some place to stream the original entire episodes by season in order, not just the clips and compilations on YouTube. Muppets are owned by Disney so thought maybe they could be on Disney+ eventually but have only seen the "newer" Muppet stuff on there. Anybody know where you can stream full episodes? My kids love watching the clips and would love to show them full episodes.
They have all the old movies on there but not the original show unfortunately. I really liked the 1st of the new two Muppet movies with Jason Segel. I thought it was hilarious
Funny muppet story. We took our family vacation in Los Angeles last year. Google maps rerouted our trip back from Santa Monica to Burbank through the canyons to avoid traffic. It ended up being a drive from hell, through rural hills and bumper to bumper traffic. We were stressed from the traffic and my wife doesn’t like driving though areas where it feels like you might fall off a ledge, ie. mountains, canyons or areas with little to no guard rail. We were playing my Spotify account, all liked songs on shuffle. We were singing along to the likes of Metallica, Alice In Chains, Foo Fishers, etc. Then to all of our surprise, “Am I Man or am I a Muppet” comes on. It totally changed the mood and stress we were under and we all broke out in hysterical laughter.
Turns out, my oldest son, who I’ve shared on this board has Down Syndrome, had borrowed my phone and liked a bunch of songs from the series of muppet movies on my Spotify account.

This movie was great. Lots of great and hilarious songs. Their cover of Smells like teen spirit was great too
There isn't any place to stream the originals. You might be able to buy the old DVDs used on Amazon or Ebay. Although Best Buy seems to have season 1 at least.

This amazes me. It's a product a lot of people would want. Can only imagine it has to do with legal issues, rights to songs, performances, etc. A lot of guest stars on the show over the years.
The Jim Henson verse is pretty fractured. Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock is HBO/Time Warner. Disney owns Kermit, and most Muppet Movies but not all of them. Netflix has Dark Krystal and other properties.
I think it's more of no one company was big enough at the time to buy the whole thing and oversee production of the varied properties. The Henson's wanted all of his work to be used.
