This is a tough one for me. Not long ago Rubio would have been my pick. But he's gotten worse and worse while Trump has started to moderate some of his extremism. Cruz is totally unacceptable, of course.

I do agree with this. It always felt like Trump was just running around for the PR and the ego-stroking, but now he's surprised to find himself in the lead and has decided to try to be serious.

On the other hand, he did just propose dipping our bullets in pig's blood before we execute terrorists, so "serious" is a relative term...
