WTH?
Both are significant losses. I can’t get behind a thread meant to be divisive.
Well, let’s see a fast food executive or a civil rights icon that was almost beaten to death for black enfranchisement.
I can’t disagree, and it’s unfortunate that it’s gotten to this point.See: the tenor of American political discourse currently
Would OP please follow up with a poll about “important” white guy deaths?

Oh, that’s it. Now it becomes clear... and less “obvious”.everybody is talking about race and there aren't as many black guys to go around so they stand out more. especially in politics

Other than being a fast food executive, what has he contributed towards the collective good?

Compared to a civil rights giant, very few have accomplished what Lewis has. But Cain is plenty accomplished in his own right. Both of their CV’s are full of impressive feats. To pit them against each other is a bad look, IMO.Serious question - why is Herman Cain a significant loss?

Uhh, participation in polls.@naturalmwa, ruling, please?
Right, Cain accomplished quite a bit for himself, but what did he accomplish for other people? Isn't that what would make it a "loss"? Otherwise, we'd have to call it a "loss" every time some rich CEO died, which it's really not.Compared to a civil rights giant, very few have accomplished what Lewis has.
