Something Beyond Stunning Was Just Revealed About Trump And Minorities- Liberals Will Lose It

"People are angry."

Voter anger at D.C. dysfunction is not a whites-only fuse burning across America. According to a new WND/Clout poll by Clout Research, neither is the voters’ hope for the cure to bloated, do-nothing bureaucracy.

The poll shows Donald Trump connecting with broad layers of discontent among all of America’s demographic groups to emerge as “a significant favorite to win the nomination.”

Forty percent of black voters support Trump over anyone else, according to the new poll, while 45 percent of Hispanic voters back the Republican presidential front-runner. Trump was supported by 37.7 percent of all whites. Overall, Trump was favored by 37.8 of respondents. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was a distant second at 23.1 percent.

The poll showed 60 percent of those who consider themselves very liberal supporting Trump. Trump received 40 percent support among liberals and 41 percent among both moderates and conservatives. By party affiliation, Trump gathered nearly 40 percent of the GOP voters’ support, 31 percent of the independents and 26-plus percent of the Democrats.

People are angry. They are angry,” Trump said in an interview Sunday. “I’m not tapping into the anger, and some people have said I’m doing that, and certainly I’m not doing it intentionally. I just know it can be turned around, it can be turned around quickly. But I’ll tell you what — if you have another four years of, like, a Hillary [Clinton], that kind of mentality and thinking, we’re not going to have a country left.”

Please stop proving my political analysis that I put forth in an effort to educate the HROT posters.

Some think of me as a Trump supporter here, far from it, but I must admit to being amazed at the dynamics that is taking place in the 2016 election (him being center stage of course).

Oh and I like the chaos, the chaos is very very entertaining. Watching people absolutely lose their shite is incredibly delightful so let the butt-hurt flow America.

If Trump can get over 40% of blacks, hispanics and liberals to all vote for him, he will be a very uniting figure who will sweep to victory. If that's how you view him, I have a bridge you might like to buy. I suspect this poll has some methodology issues.

It will be interested to see what happens when people actually start voting (or caucusing, as the state may be).

It will only take a few event to swing traditionally left leaning independents and even minorities over to the Trump camp. Remember he is selling nationalism so anyone that is a nationalized citizen of the US has the potential to buying into his rhetoric. Another large terror attack (or multiple smaller ones), a big economic down-turn (seems unlikely) and things start to get very interesting.

I would buy into this a lot more if Trump's tax plan was also selling nationalism. He told us it would, it doesn't actually appear to deliver however.

I really haven't heard him talk about it much nor have I heard many people ask about it much. You can be certain though he will pivot to trade as it pertains to his plan and will be a supporter of tariffs for those countries that don't choose to participate on a more level playing field. Which falls right into his nationalism theme.

I can't believe he could end up winning the Republican nomination, but he just might. Figures Iowa will yet again we "wrong" by adding Cruz to the list of winners, which is about as good as Huckabee and Santorum.

Where it gets really interesting is if Hillary loses to him somehow.

What I can't wait to see is Trump after Cruz cleans his clock in Iowa. Not a Cruz supporter by any means, but the dynamic around Trump will completely change. Especially in national polls, I think there's still Trump love just based on his celebrity. Let's see how a runner up Trump looks and acts.

I have thought for a while that polling undercounts his potential for actual votes. I think for some people its they do not to admit to anyone they would ever vote for him( but when in the booth it's different)

I told a friend awhile back that Trump was going to play well in the hood. He's got that big-shot personality.

Iowa may damage Trump in that he portrays himself as a winner. Iowa will tell a lot as we see how the actual votes line up to the polls. The last few elections the polls have missed badly

Don't drop the soap, Donald.

Polls are really iffy right now. I imagine you could run a poll with limited questions and people might pick Trump. It's December of 2015 and the electorate isn't paying attention. I will go out on a limb and suggest that minority turnout in the Iowa Caucuses and New Hampshire Primary will not be significant for Trump.
As others have mentioned, I really want to see what Trump does if he loses Iowa. He could just go ape **** with the personal attacks, especially if a resurgent Christie then wins New Hampshire. I think Trump wins South Carolina because that state is filled with ignorant hicks who buy his garbage and lack the critical thinking skills to realize it is garbage.

This. Nate Silver thinks that polls don't matter much right now. I'll take his word for it. It's hard to believe that Trump would garner so much minority support given that he's thrown them under the bus so much.

The following is completely anecdotal and probably not very useful, but here goes. I teach Social Studies in a fairly large school in the south. We have a significant African-American student population and a small, but rapidly growing Hispanic population. Without exception, the African-American kids don't like Trump and say their families will vote for Hillary. I am very suspicious of any poll that shows much black support for Trump.

The Hispanic kids are much less opinionated about politics, but a surprising number aren't as anti-Trump as I expected. Many of them are from families which came here legally and are not at all supportive of illegal immigration. They also tend to not like Obama very much and I could see these families definitely voting for a Republican candidate like Rubio or Bush.

That's why the Republicans would be stupid to not nominate Rubio. He would get high percentage of the Hispanic vote and it would be over for Hillary. If Republicans nominate Trump or Cruz, game over and the coronation of Hillary will be complete.

Like the Republicans, you are severely overestimating Rubio's appeal to Hispanic voters. He's a Cuban American, and most Hispanics are resentful of Cuban Americans due to the preferential treatment they have received as far as immigration goes. They do not relate to Cuban Americans as fellow Hispanics.

The first seven words of your post kind of sum up the Republican Party.

Spot on. The minorities here legally are NOT supportive of illegal immigration. Since they are supposed to be the ones voting they will turn out and make their votes count.

Trump has wooed them with his promise to build a wall. Whether he can do it or not he is telling them what they want to hear.

My wife is latina. You really don't know what you're talking about.

How the hell do you know? Perhaps what your wife thinks isn't representative of anything. After all... you seem very opinionated and the Mrs. might just agree with your thoughts to prevent problems.

Not just my wife - I've lived around latino culture for over 40 years now and have many friends who are latinos. There's not monolithic thought there, but there is sufficient latino pride to provide Mr. Cruz or Mr. Rubio with a sizable bump over a traditional Republican. That's how I know.

I agree that those two repubs would have better support over many of the others, with the possible exception of Jeb. But the GOP, in general, is still in big trouble vs the Dems when it comes to Latino support. The immigration policy stance of the GOP endears them to the very Southern States and not many other places.

Any poll that shows Trump with 40% of the black vote is, to put it mildly, an outlier.

But if it makes his supporters feel better...

Rubio would have it, but Cruz is a dicier proposition. Democrats would have a field day showing how he basically has ran from that part of his heritage. When you change your name because it was too Hispanic and funny sounding to Ted, and even your own father wouldn't accept that for years, imagine how that might play with those voters.
