CONCACAF Champions League triple-header on FS1 tonight. And we’ve got the new Leagues Cup as a mid-year tournament while MLS pauses. Vote in the poll and give me your predictions on the following (mine are shown)…

CONCACAF Champions League: UANL Tigres
US Open Cup: Philadelphia Union
Leagues Cup: New England Revolution
Supporters Shield: LAFC
MLS Cup: Seattle Sounders

In rounding out the disappointing night for the MLS we had Orlando City. They at least got a road draw against Tigris but none of the teams managed a goal.
You’re acting like this isn’t common for first legs down in Central America or the Caribbean. My team was in the same predicament, and I was there for a pretty incredible second leg…

Atlanta up early vs Charlotte on FOX. Silences another big crowd in Charlotte. World Cup winner and reigning MLS Player of the Week, Thiago Almada, put it on a platter for the assist.

I'm torn on this. Atlanta has a great fan base as well and they are probably my #2 team behind Seattle. A great 3-0 win for them. Charlotte reminds me of watching myself playing FIFA in division 1. I can get and keep the ball in the attacking 3rd for most of the game. Score? Nah.

Is Austin FC losing to a Haitian team worse than Iowa losing to Eastern Illinois?
Yes. Because A) the fact that Austin FC’s roster is worth 49 million dollars, while Violette’s is worth 150k. 24 of 27 player’s on Austin’s roster are worth more than Violette’s entire squad. B) Violette wasn’t even full strength today, with many visa issues.

Hey Chicago fans, why do they not have a sponsor?
A) It’s a hard sell for a team that has been largely irrelevant the past five seasons.

B) Their last VP of Business Operations was a massive failure.

They have a five game unbeaten streak, a winning record, and are in a playoff position. Hopefully we get a goal or all that is in jeopardy.

FYI...

US Open Cup tonight and it's down to MLS teams.

There are games on CBS Sports Galazo on Pluto and on YouTube.
After Chicago Fire beat St. Louis City in the Round of 16 (sorry, new St Louis fans of GIAOT) Chicago hosts Houston in the quarterfinals next Tuesday on CBS Sports Golazo on Pluto TV, and Bleacher Report Football channel on YouTube.

Tonight though, LAFC vs Leon about to kickoff NOW in the CONCACAF Champions League Final, Leg 1 on FS1 and Unimas. Let’s gooooo!!!!!

LAFC was reeling after a very energetic Leon got an early header off a corner, and later a PK in the first half. But they make things much easier on themselves with a last second road goal…
