I'd throw Dallas in a category different than Adventure Dramas. They belong in the traditional serial dramas like Falcon Crest, Dynasty, In The Heat of the Night, etc.

Fair enough. I never missed Dallas, Falcon Crest, or Dynasty.
Heat of the Night was annoying so never got into it.

Magnum was like Cheers for me. It fell behind shows like Family Ties and Knight Rider as a kid, but as an adult, Magnum PI is a boss show! Bellisario sure could make great TV! (I liked his Tails of the Golden Monkey series too. I wish it didn't get canxed).

fun fact, my ex-wife was an extra in an episode of Remington Steele. She played a kid a school bus that he had a brief conversation with.
