Depressed with football, I looked at the basketball schedule. Our first opponent is Longwood University. I had never heard of it so I looked it up, thereby inspiring this poll...

Bad poll - "In my pants" not an option.

Unfair for me because I lived in the state and know some people who went there.
Looking at the results thus far, I dare say there are several cheaters here, unless they also live(d) in said state.*

*edited to note someone changed their vote to the correct state. You know who you are.

Looked this up years ago when I first noted the school's name in the CBB score scrolls on ESPN. I wasn't certain I'd get it right, but I did pull the rabbit out of the hat, which is a miracle because my memory in general sucks.

While I believe you, looking at the results, cheaters cheaters everywhere!

I knew this as I just saw this team play in men’s soccer on ESPN+ a few months ago. It even inspired a post from me soon after…

I also just had a resume that listed Longwood for undergrad, and Liberty for their Masters. Which elicited an involuntary groan when I read it.

It was sort of a process of elimination for me. I know it wasn't one of the Midwestern states because of those listed, there aren't that many D1 schools.

Louisiana (pop 4.6M) has as many D1 schools with 12 as Iowa (4), Minnesota (2), Wisconsin (4), and South Dakota (2). That's just about 16 million in those 4 states.

I got it, no cheating...
Never heard of the school on the right before getting this ticket presale email...

Now do New York 😀

Damn, I got it wrong. I guess I was thinking about Marywood University, which seems like an oxymoron.

I went to Bill & Mary in Virginia for law school so I knew where it was. But yes, it’s a tiny obscure school not worth knowing.
