Please Indiana, just don't stoop to the level that Rick Pitino is on...I think he's an incredible coach, but carries a lot of baggage that would tarnish your image.

If I were Indiana and wanted to be a national title contender again, Pitino would be my first call.

Didn't have much charisma. After his 1st year, I thought he was going to get it done but he never got
consistent play/recruiting.

Indiana should skip on Rick Pitino and go for an Iowa connection...maybe Alford or make a run at Fran.

If I'm making a run at Iowa, it's Devries from Drake.

I wonder if it will ever come out that they landed Jackson-Davis because Archie did what his brother does at Arizona. $$$. IIRC, we were in the running for him.

I don't see them going mid-major again. Not sure who is out there that would move the needle for the fanbase. Beilein has a mountain of money and has a good gig on BTN. Maybe Bennett at UVA but not sure he wants to be on the front burner as the coach of IU. Possibly Chris Beard at Texas Tech? I am sure that job pays well but the free pass at IU is valid for 1-year.

Beilein is 68. Can't image he'd have any interest taking something like that on at his age.

Any previous Hoosier players coaching out there? Isaiah Thomas?
Would Josh Pastner jump from Georgia Tech after 7 seasons there?

Another possibility is Anthony Grant from Dayton and that's goes for Minnesota's coaching position too.

I think Fred Hoiberg is bound to jump to one of these good jobs. Nebraska is a dead end gig and he should get back to Ames if he can. Maybe Indiana.

Now that the rest of the world has caught up to the transfer game, I’m still reserving judgment of just how good of a coach he is. But I agree if I were him and someone offered, I’d take it.

Has there been any Big Ten coaches that have quit 1 BIG team and went to another BIG team? What is Hoiberg's buyout if he decided to leave Nebraska?
