The most obvious one IMO. Their players didn't care because its just Iowa.

They were completely out-coached.

Oh wait - I thought you wanted Iowa's excuses for a loss.

ElkaderCatfish has been saying the same thing on as many threads as possible, but no one has paid a bit of attention to him, lol. Until now. I'm feeling sorry for him. :(

It is always going to be "because the Big Ten wants to protect Michigan and Ohio State." That's their tried and true favorite.

Meh, two plays lost that game. And they were both on Stanley.

I didn't see PSU win fairly easily. Iowa lost that game on two plays, both belonged to Stanley. But good for you, TT handed you a game today. Congrats!
We gave you some stuff that could have put it away. Our pick six and then fumble in the 10 yard line...plus two safeties. Both teams had plenty of chances today and missed on some gimmies.

I don't want to take all the credit away from PSU. Their defense, in particular, balled out today. But this game will go down as a shoulda, woulda, coulda for Iowa.

Their defense didn't do jack squat. Our QB should have been pulled after missing Hock on the third and one. He never got better and there isn't a coach around who wouldn't have pulled someone who was performing the way Stanley was. Stanley sucked, plain and simple. Great play calling, opportunities all over the place, he has issues.

Your OL was a major reason for your loss today. Too many false starts and too much pressure until late. All you guys see is your quarterback, but you weren't good up front. You had a pick six, two safeties which led to short fields and still couldn't get enough points. PSU only loses McSorely on offense and has almost the entire defense back. That much youth would have been PSU's only excuse.

Stanley missed an wide open TE for a touchdown and threw two inexplicable INT's, one gifting PSU 7 and one costing Iowa 7. That's 21 points worth of suck. Moving the ball the rest of the game is rather inconsequential. So no, it's not on the OL, it's on Stanley.

Edit: you are correct in saying Iowa's OL didn't have a good day. However, Stanley's miscues were not necessarily pressure related.

Yeah I thought the same thing . PSU tried to give this one away late but NS just refused to take it... that INT on the goal line was obviously the biggest play of the game, followed closely by his overthrow of TJH down the middle. That was six if completed

The wide open tight end I agree. Turnovers were even so forget that argument as points off turnovers was even. If you count the two safeties it wasn't. Your OL was not good today. You underestimate how much pressure was put on your QB usually with only 4 guys. PSU is thin on the defensive front due to injuries and was gassed late. Iowa moved the ball late because he had more time. I was expecting much better play from your OL. We will have to agree to disagree. Good luck the rest of the way.

Hard to argue with any of this. Pretty accurate . I was expecting better from the Iowa OL as well . Winning that battle was a huge emphasis if the hawks were to win. Didn’t happen .

You are just wrong, but thanks for your input.

Excuses that weren't mentioned in the first part of the thread.

Oh the irony! Listen to the Iowa excuses. LOL! We gave you guys 2 safeties, a pick-six and fumbled at the 10-yard line in what would have been the clinching score. Make it 5 in a row. At least you still have a chance playing in the Junior Division.

Excuses WarrenLion, how bout this one. I think our boys were traumatized about having to dress in a Penn State locker room where so many bad things have happened to boys in your locker rooms. ;) Now, since you came to be a douche, I hope you got the douchebag response you were looking for.
