A few years ago, my brother-in-law and I did some figures and thought (at the time Freshman) Joe Weiskamp could potentially break the scoring record at Iowa. Of course then Garza bursts on the scene and the rest is history.
I now look to football for potential record breakers. I believe that Keagan Johnson and/or Arland Bruce IV could break some records while here at Iowa. The most likely I would say would be the receptions record currently held by Martin-Manley with 174.
So far, I tend to believe AB4 would have the inside track to this record simply because he seems to be the type of high volume catch, less yardage, chain mover player kind of like Ed Hinkel was back in the day. Johnson thus far seems to be more the X receiver who will have fewer catches but potentially more yards and offers the big play ability.
Looking forward to the next three and a half years with these guys.
