Wally Amos, the founder of Famous Amos cookies fame has passed away. He led a pretty unique life if you read the obituary. A high school dropout who became fairly successful in the music industry after a stint in the Air Force. The cookie empire came and crumbled, only to rise again. Later in life he was a champion of child literacy.
Married 6 times to 5 women, so, that explains the financial issues that marred his life.

Wally Amos, 88, of cookie fame, died at home in Hawaii. He lost Famous Amos but found other success

The creator of the Famous Amos cookie empire has died. Wally Amos' children say he died Tuesday at his home in Honolulu from complications with dementia. He was 88.

He was on an episode of Shark Tank a few years ago and he recited the story of how he kinda got screwed with his Famous Amos franchise.

He wasn't bitter and really came off as a neat old guy that "rolled with the punches" in life.
