Predict how the regular season plays out

I still truly believe Iowa will win the conference title. Whether it's shared or outright remains to be seen. But here's how I see it playing out:

Iowa (15-3): loses EITHER at Ohio State or at Michigan
Maryland (14-4): loses at Purdue and at Indiana
Indiana (14-4): loses at MSU and at Iowa

Maryland is only gonna loose one more game. Iowa needs to win out for outright conference title. I don't see us losing to tOSU but Michigan with a healthy levert may be trouble. I predict Iowa to share big ten title with Maryland as MU gets one seed in tourney by head to head tiebreaker. As I am looking at it 2 seed may be best path to BTT championship

I see Hawks going 4-2 over the last 6. Probably lose at scUM. Maybe @ tosu is the other. Definitely want them to protect home floor.

I'm hoping OSU is broken mentally by the time we get there. They have talented pieces, but haven't put it together and are young. If they have no hope of the tourney by then, they may not be as up for it as they might otherwise be. Just a thought. Absolutely need to protect home court though and beat the bottom feeders coming up.

A bunch with four or slightly more losses.

Wow. A 25 and 5 regular season!!!! They'd have locked a fan up to predict that at the beginning of the year.

My reasons for this prediction? Just Iowa...

Michigan State twice, Purdue Twice...only losses to Maryland and Indiana at their places. We're 2-2 in the toughest Big Ten games we'll have all year. This team has given no reason to believe we'll have a slip up game.

I think Levert shuts it down for the year. Foot/leg injuries are nothing to mess with when you've got an NBA payday waiting for you.

I like what the players said in the post-game interviews. Uthoff was pissed. Mike and Woody understood what needed to be done better. Pete will be ready for the next game...

I think it will be between Iowa and Mary Land, although I would change my mind if IU can win in East Lansing. My best guess:

Iowa 15-3 (16-2 not impossible)
Mary Land 15-3 (16-2 much less possible, but no worse than 14-4)
IU 14-4 (13-5 more likely than 15-3)
Purdont 13-5 (or 12-6)

Since Iowa had the most difficult schedule, I consider this a tremendous accomplishment for the players and coaches, if they can finish the schedule with 3 losses in the B1G.

Going back to last year too, Iowa would be 27-9 in conference while playing the toughest schedule of any team in the top half of the conference both years. Pretty damn impressive accomplishment for our senior class and Fran.
