The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA or the Simpson–Mazzoli Act) was passed by the 99th United States Congress and signed into law by U.S. President Ronald Reagan on November 6, 1986.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act legalized most illegal immigrants who had arrived in the country prior to January 1, 1984. The act altered U.S. immigration law by making it illegal to knowingly hire illegal immigrants, and establishing financial and other penalties for companies that employed illegal immigrants.

Has anyone noticed how the favorite candidate amongst American cowards has quietly backed away from his 2020 promise to bring a taco truck to every corner?

I can't imagine how shameful it must be to support someone so weak and dishonest.

A huge mistake with long term implications.

He had no choice,.. the mistake was in not fully enforcing the legislation as passed.

The republicans had no intention of penalizing their donors and supporters for hiring illegal immigrants.

It was a law passed by Congress, therefore, not a pardon by the POTUS
