How's Iowa's outlook this year?
Lots of question marks and new faces, especially with the bats. Other than Nelson the top of the lineup will turnover.

Obviously no Brecht, this season starts with pretty low expectations compared to the last few seasons. If I had to hazard a guess I would say nothing 6-10th place would surprise me.

Both Iowa and Nebraska will have opportunity given their schedules.

PSU to make a regional seems like an aggressive pick given the amount of portal activity they have had. Nebraska had similar activity last season and did a really good job meshing portal transfers, not all highly sought, into their program and culture. A very difficult task, consequently my comments about PSU.

The B1G usually gets one surprise team. Illinois last season. Hoping it is Iowa this season.

The teams get their chance to start making statements on the diamond in 10 days. Nebraska / Vanderbilt on 2/15 is huge for RPI and also to create momentum.

Soon we'll get to start bitching about RPI. To my knowledge no pre season RPI to start bitching about early. I'm happy to be wrong and start the conversation now if someone can find one.
