Always fun to see each writers individual rankings they post on the athletic.

Only one guy had Iowa finishing above 8th. A Maryland beat writer had Iowa 6th. Actually makes sense because that was arguably the best game for Iowa’s bench.

Actually surprised that Iowa’s above Wisconsin. Not that I have a super strong opinion as to which team will be better. I just assumed they’d be given more benefit of the doubt.

And apparently B1G media days are the next two days.

Interesting.......hopefully the Hawks can surprise some and finish higher. Top 6-7-8 get into the NCAA tournament?

Nothing too surprising although I think Maryland is, once again, overrated.

About as much love for the Hawks as one could expect until some players step up and prove themselves.
Maryland just won a share of the BT title two seasons ago.

If you want motivation, one of the Iowa voters picked Illinois 6th while another voter left Kofi off the first team.

From what I know, the poll seems about right, especially the top 4. After that it is less clear and based mostly on highly regarded players, who haven't proven they can be successful in the B1G (except IU's Jackson-Davis, who has had individual success, but not team success). Consensus is that the Hawks are probably somewhere in the middle, and given the player losses, that seems fair.

I think 7 to 10 is perhaps the range of possibilities for this year. Anywhere from the NCAAS to no post season.

Keegan nowhere to be seen.
