Yesterday, the hopeful new House Speaker spoke for 25 minutes against the primarily endorsed Democratic $1.7 B spending bill...His diatribe lead to one Massachusetts Congressman to tell the medía that “it is obvious that McCarthy doesn’t have the votes yet to become Speaker.” Outgoing Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in replying to McCarthy’s charge this bill was the most embarrassing thing the Congress had done in a number of years, replied”Obviously Mr. McCarthy has forgotten the events of 1/6/23.”

It’s an embarrassment of a bill as almost all these “omnibus” bills are….bipartisan abdication of their fiscal duties to vote on each of these appropriations separately and handle the peoples tax dollars appropriately and responsibly.

Should be an almost universal view on the subject but….team blue/team red. Depending on who’s in power
