He agreed to fund $100M to openAI when he had a disagreement with Sergey Brin from Google that AI needs to be carefully created and overseen. Brin disagreed, wanted to keep AI development in secret and for profit.

If you spent 10-15 years warning everyone about the danger of unethical unaccountable AI. Then you saw openAI/Microsoft + Google developing unethical dishonest AI systems AND you strongly believe these AI systems have an outside chance of destroying humanity, what would you do?
I don’t always claim to be right, I am simply a contrarian with different, sometimes better, access to information than some on here who live in their little bubbles. I feel I bring something different to the board and let everyone judge for themselves.
