Proof that the B1G is the #1 Conference, top to bottom, in America

Wow. That's great stuff. The Big Ten with FIVE and nobody else with more than ONE? Of course, the SEC would argue they play a top 25 team every week in conference . . . but still, ZERO quality non-con wins is what it is. I guess we should keep an eye on the big November match-up between Alabama and The Citadel.

Non-conference wins over CFP Top 25 teams:
Big Ten: 5
ACC: 1
ND: 1
Big 12: 0
Pac-12: 0
SEC: 0

2:37 AM - 31 Oct 2018
    1. The FIVE for the B1G: MD over TEX, PUR over BC, MINN over FRES, IOWA over ISU, IND over UVA
Ya, that sounds like "interesting trivia", not proof. Everyone knows da SEC is clear #1. Not much difference between da B12 and B1G. :)

Alabama's non con schedule:

Louisville 2-6
Arkansas State 4-4
Louisiana 4-4
The Citadel 2-5

only one of those 4 games is against a Power5
2 against Groupof5
1 against FCS

you would think the number 1 team in College football for the last 10 years would play somebody in the non con...
you almost think they ought to play 4 somebodies in the non con.

the SEC looks good because they have puffed up numbers and puffed up rankings.... none of those guys play anybody...
if they are truly the best conference... why don't they play a schedule that reflects that?

Play head to head with SEC

Alabama-Michigan
LSU-Ohio St
Georgia-Penn St
Etc
Etc

Sec kicks B1G's ass

Michigan (7-1) - Alabama (8-0)
Northwestern (5-3) - Kentucky (7-1)
Ohio State (7-1) - LSU (7-1)
Penn State (6-2) - Georgia (7-1)

Iowa (6-2) - Florida (6-2)
Maryland (5-3) - Auburn (5-3)
Michigan State (5-3) - Mississippi State (5-3)

Wisconsin (5-3) - South Carolina (4-3)
Purdue (4-4) - Texas A&M (5-3)
Indiana (4-5) - Ole Miss (5-3)

Minnesota (4-4) - Missouri (4-4)
Illinois (3-5) - Vanderbilt (4-5)
Nebraska (2-6) - Tennessee (3-5)
Rutgers (1-7) - Arkansas (2-7)

the team in bold won the last time the 2 teams faced each other.
but I think if we had these 14 match ups... the Big Ten wins 10 of the 14

In that scenario I only see Wisconsin and Mich St winning this year

Not at all
Just think the B1G is down this year
5 wins against CFP Top 25 is your definition of being down this year?

just curious really... I've been hearing the Big Ten is down every year for the past 15 years... in both football and basketball

If those were the match ups that's how I'd pick them with only Wisconsin and Mich St winning..

Those 5 wins are not exactly the who's who of college football....will give you Texas
Over the past 15 years I would say SEC is better overall than the B1G most years..depends on the match ups...I think Bama,LSU,Georgia are better this year than any B1G team.

Put the teams up vs ACC PAC 12 and Big 12 and I believe the B1G would win more games this year

based on what?

Until the NCAA evens everything out, there will be zero consistency in college football. SEC only plays 8 conf games. Big 10 plays 9 and I think PAC 12 plays 9. Need to even it out for all conferences.

Next they need to allow every conf champ a spot in the playoff. I hate that the main supporter or tv provider for the Playoff is ESPN who is in affiliation w/SEC & ACC. Should be 8 teams all Power 5 champs and then 3 at-large teams.

I completely agree...
but I would rather see 16 teams in a Playoff... with 10 Conference Champions and 6 At-Large's from 6 different conferences.
meaning Notre Dame would be forced to join a conference if they want in.

sorry but ISU beating overrated teams within their own conference? The national media obviously doesn't consider that relevant. Why do you?
Ya, if iowa loses to purdue, they will a be ranked lower than isu, with both at 3 losses. Psu and wisconsin are looking overrated from their @ iowa rankings. B12 is looking very strong. B1g is looking weak and fading down da stretch. Watch and learn. :)

You say this a week after a top 10 Texas team lost to a crappy Oklahoma State team? Interesting.

You made your point twice talking about Wisconsin who is having a very subpar year and then comments about Texas - stay current and don’t look at names, watch more games and know what is going on - this way you won’t be a typically SEC homer and a college football fan

You watch those games or just go to ESPN. What I see above is the big ten plays 9 conference games and schedules tougher teams than Alabama. My point stands - you looked at a potential lineup and said Wisconsin and mich state were the only wins - and then said Texas was the only good win against the CFP25. Doesn’t appear you know much more than Paul finnebaum feess you

Never watched PF show
Watch 3-4 games every Saturday
Texas is the only good win in non conference
The above poster put SEC vs B1G match ups and I believe Mich St and Wisconsin would win their match ups if those team played
