Except for results.
Ya, Rocky, how do you explain these a B1g ooc loss results as pointed out by Qued18 earlier? Not a very impressive, weak! Doesnt sound like da #1 conference to me. :)

From a Qued18 post:
ND beat Mich

Duke beat Northwestern
Colorado beat Nebraska
BYU beat Wisconsin
Kansas beat Rutgers
USF beat Illinois
Akron beat Northwestern
Missouri beat Purdue
Buffalo beat Rutgers

Our win vs ISU looks better and better every week. Indiana beat UVA. One of our middle of the road teams beat BC. MD over TX. Fresno is just outside the Top 25, and got beat by MN, who is 1-4 in conference play.

Any wins over Rutgers and Illinois should be discounted, since they are awful teams. Early season losses by Purdue and Nebraska aren’t very indicative of how they are playing now...

The losses by jNW are real killers, though. Michigan made every mistake in the book and still list to ND by only 7. They probably feel the same about that loss as we feel about the PSU loss.

Week 2 was a really bad week for the B1G, except for our win over a ISU.

Overall, it is probably down because some of the upper echelon teams like MSU, PSU, Wisky and even OSU aren’t quite as good as they have been in the past.

The latest ESPN conference rankings has Texas #2 in the Big 12, even though they beat Oklahoma (#1 in the Big 12).

Maryland? #9 (#9!!!!!!) in the B1G.

See for yourself. LINK: http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/25104145/power-5-conference-power-rankings-week-9

Texas is the Big 12's flag ship program, even though they have been down for several years.

Maryland, the 9th best team in the B1G, beat Texas, a top 2 team in the Big 12.

That's all you need to know about how weak the Big 12 is this year.

The Big 12 is weak top to bottom and overrated. There is evidence everywhere to prove that. Texas can't even beat the B1G's 9th best team. And when they can??? Clowns fans, be sure to get back to us and tell us how great the Big 12 is.

to be fair when you say the Big Ten is down this year... you would have to compare the Big Ten with the other Power5 Conferences...
for example...
the Big Ten is 3-1 against the ACC this year
the Big Ten is 3-1 against the Big12 this year
the Big Ten is 1-2 against the Pac12 this year
the Big Ten is 0-1 against the SEC this year

to say the Big Ten is down this year because they have lost out of conference games is not fair because every conference has out of conferences losses... every year... for as long as I remember..
therefore by that standard.... every conference is down... every single year... for as long as I remember.

You put up match ups vs SEC and B1G
You thought B1G would win 10-14
I thought B1G would win 2-14
To me B1G is down this year compared to SEC
Last year B1G won all but 1 of their bowl games
I don't think this will be the case this year...(down year)
It is my opinion that the SEC is a better conference.
I do think B1G is better than the the other conferences except SEC

Based off record this year

1. Michigan vs Alabama
2. Ohio St vs LSU
3. Penn St vs Georgia
4. Iowa vs Kentucky
5. Wisconsin vs Florida
6. Northwestern vs Texas AM
7. Michigan St vs Auburn
8. Maryland vs Mississippi St
9. Purdue vs Ole Miss
10. Minnesota vs South Carolina
11. Indiana vs Missouri
12. Illinois vs Vanderbilt
13. Nebraska vs Tennessee
14. Rutgers vs Arkansas

Still think the SEC would win most of these match ups
And still my opinion Alabama,LSU and Georgia are better teams this year than any other B1G team
No more no less just an opinion

Michigan (7-1) - Alabama (8-0)
Northwestern (5-3)
- Kentucky (7-1)
Ohio State (7-1) - LSU (7-1)
Penn State (6-2) - Georgia (7-1)

Iowa (6-2) - Florida (6-2)
Maryland (5-3) - Auburn (5-3)
Michigan State (5-3)
- Mississippi State (5-3)

Wisconsin (5-3) - South Carolina (4-3)
Purdue (4-4)
- Texas A&M (5-3)
Indiana (4-5) - Ole Miss (5-3)

Minnesota (4-4) - Missouri (4-4)
Illinois (3-5) - Vanderbilt (4-5)
Nebraska (2-6) - Tennessee (3-5)
Rutgers (1-7)
- Arkansas (2-7)

the team in bold won the last time the 2 teams faced each other.
but I think if we had these 14 match ups... the Big Ten wins 10 of the 14

I see it exactly opposite. B1G wins 4 of those. Who are your 10 B1G wins?

I have the opinion that the Big Ten can win every match up presented there...
but from a statistical probability I would guess the Big Ten only wins 10 of the 14 games.
but you know... its football... anything can happen any given week.

Ya, Franny, hanging out to that "outlier" game of Maryland vs Texas. But ignore B1G West leader Northwestern (and also Nebraska) losing to Akron. :)

The B1G is fading fast and likely not to have a team in da CFP again a this year. tOSU, Wisconsin, PSU, Iowa all fading down da stretch and Michigan unlikely to win out. :)

No one has more out of conference losses than the B1G (13) that is conveniently left out of this stat.

Not sure you saw my earlier question. What’s da big 12 record against The BIG?

You make great points about how weak the Weak12 is.

You’re really really lucky to play in that conference so you can pick up some wins.

I’d like to the Weak12 vs MAC matchups top to bottom.

B1G 5, Big12 0.

Maryland is better than Texas.

The Big 12 is extemely weak. The numbers (5-0) don't lie. The best team in the Big 12 (Texas) losing to one of the worst teams in the Big Ten says a lot as well. The Big 12 simply can't go outside of their extremely weak conference and beat any of the top 25 teams in the country.

Pathetic. Sad. A big fat Zero (nonconf wins against Top 25 teams). That's the Big 12.

So the big 10 is weak and your team got beat by one of those bad big 10 teams.... not sure what that makes your team...... less than weak? But dats jus how da faks luke to da fanz

Ya, I know, and there are actually people on this board that claim Iowa State was one score away from beating Iowa. I call them Iowa State grads.
Not one score.....one play.....lightning struck twice unfortunately

Actually in the pillow fight of the century, Kansas beat Rutgers, so they (Big 12) did win one game vs the B1G.

My God, Rutgers is bad.

Don't forget that if ISU's first game had not been canceled, they not only would have beaten Iowa, they would be undefeated right now!

Ya, Franny, Iowa and da B1G are fading down da stretch; ISU and B12 are peaking. Watch and Learn. Watch and Learn. ISU likely ranked higher than Iowa after this wknd. B1G is weakening. :)

Ya, Busch Light :) , we've already discussed this ad naseum. The 4 game statistically insignificant sample of 1-3 is interesting trivia, nothing else. B1G will not be in da CFP again this year, sad. :)

Since 1998, B1G is 37-45 against B12, 33-45 against SEC, and 193-199 against all conferences. Sad, weak after all da talk of greatness I've been hearing. :)

If UM or OSU wins out, they're obviously getting in. You can't be this dumb.

I love that it took you a full day to come up with this response. I expected nothing more. It also gives me a BIG warm fuzzy that the Iowa loss still bothers you so much. Definitely keep drinking da Busch Light dough, as it should not only help you continue to cope with the Iowa loss (earlier this year), but could also help you forget about the last 4 losses and all the pain and misery those losses have caused in your life. That said, keep in mind that drinking too much might compromise the memories you have of the mccarney golden years...and that could obviously have a devastating impact on your life’s net worth. God forbid any clown fan not remember to include ‘98 through ‘02 when responding about ISU’s record against Iowa over the last 10 years.
