Can someone help me locate a copy of the State High School Championship game for 1985 featuring Waterloo Columbus? Near the end of the game ,NDSU Coach (and Waterloo native) Chris Klieman was running the ball near the sideline when he fumbled the ball. The opposition scooped and scored and Columbus lost the lead and the game. I think it would be great to get the key moment of that game posted for our friends from the North to enjoy. Thanks.

Pleasant Valley won the 3A title in 1985 beating Harlan. Pleasant Valley beat Waterloo Columbus on the way to the title game, though.

No. Beyond dumb.

A better option would be getting pissed at his brother for Powers switching to Under Armour. The Iowa Nike uniforms used to be made in Waterloo.

Fall of 84 is when this happened against Harlan in the finals. Columbus was milking the clock, had the game won and Kleiman fumbled. Harlan scooped it up and ran it in for a touchdown. Game over.

Waterloo has a great tradition my father went to East and still talks about the glory of the past.. What happen?? I remember as a kid watching Lew Montgomery run wild at Sloan Wallace, Lance Dunn (who's son plays for NDSU) and hearing about Reggie Roby's bomb kicks and Don Ross's being a 1st team high school all American with Karrem Abdul Jabar and pistol Pete

Nope, just haven't live in Iowa since 1988... But I remember East being pretty good at everything now everytime I check back they are setting records for being the worst at everything..

I think it's a funny idea.

The ones overreacting are the same ones that will turn around and do something sophomoric themselves the very next minute.
