Tyler Kluver, Drake Kulick and Kevin Ward have released this week's washed up walk-ons podcast, you should give it a listen. There's a hot-take in there about UNI/Mark Farley which I found rather interesting, and surprising to say the least. Prioritize this below the HR podcast of course, but it's an interesting take.

It's on itunes, and most podcatchers like podcast addict have it as well.

Yeah. They were ready to spit fire after the Penn State game. I love their podcast.

Curious...did anyone listen? What did you think?
I listened I have heard similar things about Farley. Guy who played for him in the mid to late 2000s said he was a piece of trash and would never have his kids play for him.

I used to ref the Saturday morning flag football games in CF during my college years. I never officiated one of his sons’ games when he was there but there were multiple times over the 3-4 years his kids played that he would constantly complain about the refs and yell at them walking up and down the sidelines.
Here’s the highest profiled person for UNI and he acted like that in public. Such an ass.

Didn’t pollard the AD at ISU get the boot from a youth game cause of yelling at officials?

Washed up walk ons is def a podcast to listen to. Shows you what players mindsets are before and after a game. I would recommend it to anyone, just be careful there is some language in there.

'some language in there'
I heard English, did I miss something? Lol

Well Kulick said anyone who was calling for Stanley to be benched last week needs to take both thumbs and shove them as humanly possible up their ass.

So that was something.

I was more warning people if they listen in the car while driving their children around. There are a few F bombs and other choice words in there. It’s not a bad thing, just thought I would warn people. I listen while mowing so I’m the only one who hears it.

My fault, I was attempting humor. Missed my mark. It is a good podcast.

Yeah I wish they'd make it more PG.
F bombs are unnecessary on that platform, you don't know who's listening.
I feel that makes it more real though. You have three 23-24 year old dudes. They’re talking like many of them talk. JMO. Maybe they need to give a parental advisory notice or something.

I don't think removing the F bombs will lessen the "realness" at all.
It's not like watching a Tarantino movie edited for network TV.

I don't think this is a broadcast that goes across network tv. You have to find it, load it and listen. If it were on the radio then clean it up.

I have known 2 UNI football athletes. One a walk-on and another a really high profile player who had a shot at the NFL. Walk on said Farley was a total jerk. Treated players poorly and was a totally different guy in the media compared to the locker room. Not that it isn't totally expected but it was a tad extreme.

The high profile player shouldn't have made it on the field. He simply didn't attend class or take tests. Should have failed out but Farley went to the president's office and kept him eligible. Still said he hated the guy too.

Both guys played in the early-mid 2000s when UNI was pretty good.

I’ve heard both accounts on Farley. I’ve actually played golf with him in a fundraiser a while back and he was a great guy. Very nice and respectful to everyone. I get it that’s it’s way different in the locker room. But all boosters and admins think he’s a great guy.

But he will have to start producing some playoff runs. Now that the Dakotas are now dominating the league.
