After you watch the Hawks cruise to victory tonight against the Leathernecks it appears that at 9:30 p.m. Central, BTN is going to air for the first time, the 1990 Iowa at Illinois football game. This is 2 top 15 teams and one of the best big backs that ever wore the black and gold in Nick Bell! For those of you that are younger than 40 and didn't see this game, I'd highly recommend it!
I sent a note to BTN about 4 years ago when they were asking about suggestions for future BT classics. This was the game I chose! There was bad blood in going on. This was the thick of the Bruce Pearl/Deon Thomas era and Illinois was really Iowa's biggest rival in hoops and the gridiron in this time period.
You will also see classic Hayden with a few exotics, a great fake FG and Nick Bell running rough shot! Enjoy!
