PSU, James Franklin and players being sued for hazing

Sounds like a passed lie detector test was involved, FWIW. (Backing up the claims)

I might be mis-remembering, but wasn't there a hazing scandal when he left Vanderbilt, too? Or something along those lines?

Penn State lawsuit snippet: the lawsuit also named Micah Parsons, Yetur Gross-Matos and Jesse Luketa as "ringleaders of the alleged abuse" and stated the hazing included players saying "I'm going to Sandusky you"

His time there might not last much longer. Always knew he was a douche but didn't know he was also a disgusting human being. There is also a lawsuit out there from former team doctor alleging he was pushed by Franklin to clear injured players.

oh, he's a disgusting human being, and the Vanderbilt scandal was over a rape, not a hazing.

There is enough smoke around Franklin to know he’s a slime ball. The 2012 interview about only hiring coaches with hot wives. The Vanderbilt post-rape victim meeting. The accusations by medical doctors that he leveraged them to clear injured players. This hazing thing. That’s a lot smoke in 7 or 8 years.

Still don’t know why they weren’t kicked out of the Big Ten after the Sandusky deal. Kick ‘em the hell out! The tail is still wagging the damn dog!

If this is true, NCAA should shot down program. They “eased” sanctions last time, but this is worse, since the term “Sandusky” means they knew impact.

By impact, do you mean coming from behind forcibly colliding, or the other meaning? Just curious as this answer will have an impact on my mental frame of mind today.

Just because the police couldn't find the evidence necessary to charge somebody with a crime, doesn't mean that what was alleged didn't happen. I can't imagine this kid would go through with this if nothing happened to him. Kind of embarrassing to release the details. We will see soon enough what evidence there is. If it is shown this did happened but the school's investigation said nothing happened, there is going to be a huge outcry against PSU and for good reason because then it looks like another cover up.

Thing is even before Sandusky case this type of culture had been going on for a long time at Penn St. under Paterno. I remember seeing a piece on these 6 players accused of assault back in 07'. ESPN Outside the Lines a year or so after the incident did a piece on on it as well as PSU football player issues when Paterno stepped in and players got a slap on the wrist and continued to play them after the charges and how to no surprise the DA did nothing again. Ironic thing one of them Anthony Scirritto had a huge PI call on Iowa's game winning FG drive in 08'.
