Apparently PTL is delayed two weeks because a form was left out. Someone spaced off a form. No biggie the games will be played. They just start a little later.... It will be interesting this summer. Hope Fran stresses working on some defense to his men. We'll need it next year.

Does anyone know when summer workouts can begin? Usually I am definitely against this new rule. However, other than a team trip to Europe, it is a huge year for us to have the newbies on campus early and under the tutelage of our Hawkeye staff. It sucks they have no lives, but this year I am sure all are eager to learn our systems, and their advance their play. Most all will need it....

Curious to know when the freshmen will be on campus too. I'm guessing that some already are here? Hopefully there are no last minute delays in arriving. Missing the summer workouts would definitely be a hindrance in development.

I believe most of them are coming in this weekend and I assume they will get started on Monday with summer classes and workouts.

I've seen Tweets from Cook and Kriener about being on campus. Maishe also tweeted that he was headed to town today.

He found his locker ;)

New schedule for Prime Time--Prime Time will start June 30 and skipping July 3, play every Thursday and Sunday to July 28, with all Sunday contests being held in Waterloo. The tryout is moved to June 25 at NDAC, at 1130.
** Draft is June 26 **

Are all you guys who didn't get drafted last night gonna try out for PTL? I hope there is not a max age limit or anything.

I've been working on my nut grab. I hear it's an NBA must have. And Steve, even though I paused for a count of five, I wasn't asking you out!

I am pretty good on defense. In fact I pretty much just stay back on the one end.

The PTL draft is sometime today. Can't wait to see which Hawkeyes will be team mates and who will be pitted against each other.
This is the most excited I've been for PTL since 2012 after football laid a 4-8 egg and Woody/Gessel were coming in as freshmen.

Per tweet from Pat Hardy :

Jok taken first in the PTL draft followed by Baer, Dondre Alexander, Matt Gatens, Isaiah Moss, Tyler Cook, Jeremy Morgan and C. Williams.

6:31 PM - 26 Jun 2016

I'm surprised Jeremy Morgan dropped as low as he did. Apparently Matt Gatens had to draft himself as he is a player/coach this year

Per one more Pat Hardy tweet :

Followed by Uhl, Wagner, Bohannon, Klint Carlson, W. Lohaus, Koch, Ashton, Ellingson, Friedman, Hunter Rhodes and Maishe Dailey.
4:40 PM - 26 Jun 2016

I like seeing Moss go as early as he did. There has to be some truth behind the rumors of him tearing it up in practice last year.

Dailey is an unknown quantity. Difficult to project as he is just getting to Iowa. Ellingson's lower pick than Moss, lohaus, Morgan, Williams and even Bohannon signals his status in the program.

Rob Howe over on Hawkeye Nation has a list of the full rosters for each team. Apparently Ryan Kreiner isn't playing PTL this summer due to an unspecified illness.

I saw Randy Larson was the source on Ryan. I would GUESS it has to be something that will last a while, as missing a couple of PTL games is pretty normal. I hope this is nothing overly serious as it's tough to catch up as Moss showed us.

Yeah and it for it to be 'illness' and not injury makes me wonder if it is mono or something like that where you can't over exert yourself or your spleen could rupture.

"......his status in the program." :D

This has to be the greatest leap based on the PTL that I've ever read. Dude, do you think it's possible his PTL coach might Crean Ellingson as well? ;)

I will go ahead and predict that Brady will put up good numbers in the PTL and will generate some chatter. Would not surprise me at al if he is able to help the team next year with his outside shooting and savy play.

I hope you are right on Brady! Fran saw something in him, so he must have the ability. Let's hope he can put it all together.

DanL53. I know that PTL teams can only some many current teammates (2, I believe per team via regulations) but Brady is suppose to be a known commodity and multiple year PTL participant. like any draft, you go with the best talent or position to fill roster. THe PTL has a lot of SGs and SFs bodies. Brady's slot in this draft compare to others looks like someone as scouted the best talents and Brady is down the list quite a ways. Self fulfilling prophecy.
