Public Boarding Schools?

I think it has merit and might be a great way to end the cycle of poverty. But before I did this I would first try equalizing educational funding across school districts. Poor kids who go to a good public school have a much better chance of escaping poverty than poor kids who go to a bad public school. And there is no doubt that two factors in a bad public school are poor funding and poor home environments. I see no downside to trying this and seeing if it works.

When a child has no mother or father, there are other options:

1. Foster Parents
2. Orphanage
3. Adoption

Public Boarding schools would be a death sentence to most kids.
They would be captive 24 hours a day for 7 days a week.
