Pulling for Bucky ..... but ......

Yep agree. I do like Kaminsky, he is a pretty laid back guy and doesn't come off cocky like other top players.

But also rooting for Paige at UNC. Its always nice to see the state of Iowa kids doing well in the tournament.

It will be a win for the BIG or a win for a good kid from Iowa. Can't really lose this one.

Still can't believe all the hate for Dekker in the other thread. Dude is good and playing especially well tonight.

Disgusting. I will not be able to root for them if they play in the NT game. Decker is on a mission.

Someone needs to make a mega-gif of every time Gasser has thrown up his arms in frustration at a call against him

Rather see a kid from Iowa helping Iowa in the sweet sixteen, not cheating NC, or even a non-cheating NC..

Anyway, I only hate Wisconsin when they're playing Iowa. Let's face it, Bo is a good coach and he wins with lineups that make us wonder how he does it. As far as being cocky, you see them all over the map, not just at Wisky.

Went to Omaha last weekend and stayed in the same hotel as the Badgers. I still hate that many of them act like they have never committed a foul, especially Gasser, but they seemed to be pretty good guys. Dekker especially. I know there is a lot of hate for him, but not from me anymore. Must suck, though. Can't leave the hotel to go anywhere. Spend all day on your off day in your room or walking around hotel except for practice.

Against Oregon, I watched Bo a lot of the time. There were stretches of 4 or 5 minutes where he didn't say a single word. They would come down, run offense, and he would just watch without any direction. I love that he has them so well coached that he doesn't need to micro-manage every possession.

Side note: Barry Alvarez was wearing an Under Armor shirt one day. They are an addidas school so that surprised me a bit. He said they are right in the middle of having different companies make pitches to change them over. Nike and UA. I wouldn't be surprised to see them say goodbye to addidas. No way he changes the football uniform style, though.

Also saw a TON of Hawkeye fans there, and we would've had an unbelievable following had we been sent there.

Mixed emotions. Best B1G team getting knocked out was downside, but upside was Wisconsin losing.

Wisconsin used to be our peer or worse than Iowa in basketball. I prefer that they never get beyond the Final4, since that is best I have seen Iowa do. It already is bad enough to see Wisconsin pass by KF in football.

It was actually surprising to see an so-so N. Carolina team hang with them so well. I think the current Iowa could play Wisconsin 100 times and not win, but we did match up better with N.Carolina.

Your observation about this Wisco team is accurate, especially, Sam. I was in the team hotel last year at the FF and got to see them interact with each other, their fans, the Florida State team and fans, hotel staff, the ever present ticket scalpers and the media. As I reported here last year, Sam said some very nice things about the Kentucky players(out of the presence of his coach and the media) to some fans just after what had to be an emotional loss to the Wildcats.
On the UA gear, I wonder if UA has an exclusive license at the Tournament facilities? I recall only seeing their shirts.

This is correct.
And I'm sorry, great coach or whatever, I still would pay cash to punch Bo in the face...and pretty much 99% of his whiney beeyotch roster. I'm sorry dude, but you acting in disbelief when you bear-hug a guy and get called for a foul is just stupid.
I can never pull for Bitchy Badger.

Wrong, fvckwad.

He's a typical Badger retard, just like you.
He is a badger fan. He is also a much better poster on this board than you are.

As much as I dislike Bo Ryan, you have to respect the man. The record he has built at Wisconsin is one of the greatest in the entire history of college basketball, bar none. Given the changes in the rules and the game since then, I might go so far as to say what Ryan has done at Wisconsin is at least the equal of what John Wooden did at UCLA. And yet Izzo, whose own record may be equally amazing, gets all the pub. If Izzo has earned it, so has Ryan.

And I have to admit, as a member of the decided minority of college basketball, a white person, I enjoy seeing people like me being so successful, even if they do wear WISCONSIN on their jerseys. To name one of many NCAA teams, I don't think Louisville has a solitary white player on its entire roster. Maybe its time for some affirmative action for white basketball players. Wisconsin, Gonzaga, and Iowa, to name a few, have shown that white guys actually can play this game, and some of them can even jump. :)

I am rooting for the Badgers, partly because I am a B1G homer, but also because Ryan runs a clean program. He seems to recruit good kids, develops their games, and teaches them to play great fundamental team basketball. I was glad to see Dekker have a great game, because I want him gone next year. He sometimes doesn't seem to have his head in the game is much as the other Wisky players, but he can be very good when he is being aggressive on offense.

If you aren't rooting for Wisky, who are you going to pull for at this point? I usually hate ND, but I sure want them (or anyone) to take down Kentucky. ND is playing beautiful offensive basketball, but I don't know if they can cope with KY's size. Duke rhymes with puke. Louisville and Pitino, yuck. MSU is my least favorite B1G school. Maybe that is just sour grapes, but I think Izzo is the biggest reason why the B1G plays UGLY, knock you off your game, basketball.

I don't mind Arizona or Gonzaga. I like both coaches. The Arizona-Wisconsin match up is about as good as it gets.

I love March Madness, but it would be nice to have teams to really root for, instead of teams to root against.

Tell me Mods...why don't people like this get blacklisted from HR?

Flaming
Blatantly inflammatory remarks or attacks directed at a person or group of people or those whose only intent is to excite others and/or incite flame wars is not allowed. No profanity
This includes using abbreviations or changing one letter of a swear word such that the word(s) are still interpreted by most as profane.

Roy Boy cheated at Kansas and he cheated at UNC.

The "scumbag" part is a matter of opinion, but the "cheating" part is a matter of record.

ummm....no one believes that, not even the most die hard Badger fan. No one.

The UCLA thing is pushing it, but yes, what hes done at Wisconsin is borderline miraculous. Before Bo took the job in 2001, that program was in the NCAA Tournament 5 times EVER. Whether they can sustain it when Bo retires, who knows, but hes pulled off a minor miracle in Madison over his tenure.
