Purdue at Michigan Right now

It's early

UM up 20-14 with 12:17 to go

iowa plays Michigan twice yet, of course
Call me crazy, but I think Iowa has a shot in both games vs UM.

Dickinson and Diabate will be a problem in both games, but unless their guards and other players are blistering the nets from the perimeter, the Wolverines are very beatable this season.

OSU has this game and then OSU at home on Saturday. Hopefully, they have a letdown on Thursday in Carver.

Michigan handling the Boilers. Determined to get this win.

Is Michigan the most underperforming team this year?

On Nov 9, Joe Lunardi (ESPN) had Iowa as a bubble team & one of the first 4 out.

Look where he had Michigan.

On Nov 9, Lunardi had 8 B1G teams making the NCAA Tournament.

Seed/Team:
1 Michigan

2 Purdue
3 Illinois
4 Ohio State
5 Maryland
7 Michigan State
7 Indiana
11 Rutgers (Last 4 In) @MrsScrew

I don't know enough about every team out there nationally to rank UM or anyone else, but they have be pretty far up on that list of teams.

Man, Michigan looking like a National Title contender tonight.

Just kicking Purdue right in the teeth, repeatedly.

A couple days ago the Big Ten Network gurus were fawning over Purdue and said they didn't think PU would lose another game in the regular season. LOL

Talking heads. What a gig. :)
Yep, just like "the recruiting experts" and guys like Kiper who do all the mock drafts. A blind man with a dart board is probably about as accurate as a lot of those clowns......

Hope thats not Iowa saying that on Sunday........
Good news is Nebraska is terrible and Iowa is at home. So even if Iowa doesn't throw in 18 3's again (not likely to happen again this season), they are going to win.

Now the upcoming games against MSU and Michigan ...

How do we defend against Michigan @Franisdaman? If we double Dickinson in the post, it leaves their shooters open. Remember when they allowed Luka to "get his points?" He did, but we still lost. They guarded our shooters well. They had 6 players in double figures, we had 2, Garza and Connor. Do we double Hunter in the post, or try Filip and Keegan, or even Kris to defend him? I realize that he's not the scorer Luka was, but since we lack a true big man due to Josh and Riley still developing, what do you see as our options.

In their victory over Purdue on the 10th, Ivey had 18 pts, Edey had 10, and T. Williams had 12. On the other side, Michigan had 5 players in double figures. Dickinson had 22 to lead all scorers, Brooks had 18, Diabate had 15, Houstan had 14, and Jones had 11. Purdue shot 22% from 3 and Michigan shot 57%. If you were the (real) 😃 coach, how would you defend in this game? I have no coaching skills or experience, but I think I'd use a lot of 3/4 court pressure.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out defensively; we have had out problems with the teams with big men. I think Fran starts in man with Filip on him; and then brings in Kris to guard him. Hunter might have 3 inches on Kris and Keegan, but the twins have the length where they can affect shots.

Michigan is a bubble team and is looking to play it's way into the NCAA Tournament.

We have 2 games left against them; we really need to beat them at home on Thursday because I don't like our chances in Ann Arbor.

You just don't want to be swept by Michigan.
