Good points, wont argue with you. Painter learned it from Keady. When you watch them against the hawks they make our shooters very uncomfortable.

Last year was weird because they were more talented than usual but worse on defense.

When you have Edy(sp?) in the paint on D, your guards can play up tight and stop the 3 ptrs and short jumpers because he is there at the rim to swat layups. We don't have that. Our bigs have to come over to help on the guards and then a quick pass to someone for a layup.

Edey alters most shots in the paint, so even if he doesn't block a shot, he alters the shot. The
lineup Purdue puts out with Edey on the bench is a bottom feeder type team.

Edey's improvement this year has a lot to do with him getting the "star" treatment from Refs. The player's that have breakout years get a lot better whistle from refs.

They also lost to Indiana twice because Edey has to play drop coverage instead of hedging on screens.

Different matchups favor different styles.

Shit happens. Historically, Purdue doesn’t shine post season. And they have had some real studs the past 20 years, too.
