Purdue Opens Up As 2.5 Point Favorites

Hawks get a spank on the ass this week in practice and clean things up. We win by 10.

Line seems okay but uncertainty around whether Stanley will play may also have something to do with it.

pu was umimpressive in their loss at msu. Iowa was in the game until the end despite truly terrible qb play. Those factors more or less cancelled each other out.
pu getting the slight edge at home makes sense with what's played out for both teams to this point.

The game is basically a toss up on a neutral field with Stanley according to analytics. So this is with Stanley and he wouldn’t really move the line.

I've seen enough of mansell to have my expectations tempered. This is not a cj sitting behind jr situation.

Agree. He can run the ball but I haven’t seen signs yet that he is a good QB. Hoping Petras will be though.

Maybe due to the fact that he has barely played? He's only had 6 pass attempts.

Tough crowd...hasn't had a real chance to play yet and you've deduced all that?

Stanley had the 11th best QBR in the country before Saturday's game.

Understand, but the kid has been the Forest Gump box-of-chocolates this season. We got the cashew cluster with the 6-TDs but the crappy foam filled has been more the norm this year.

Purdue is by far the best offensive team that Iowa has faced this year. They are going to need to score more than 30 to beat Purdue. I have no idea whether they will be able to do that because it is going to depend on Stanley being able to complete passes.
