Watched the game. Woody & Uhl will have their hands full with Hammonds & Hass on Saturday. I think PU didn't play their best aside from Hammonds but a team that we can beat - even on the road. Will be a tall order though.
Mackey is a tough place for the Hawks usually. Gonna be a very tough one. I actually think Purdue is the most underrated team in the country.
I'm figuring Swanigan/Uthoff will be a key matchup. That's why I was wondering who WI had on him to hold him to zero points. I think Uthoff will score vs the freshman Swanigan. But Swanigan and Hammonds are a load down low. Woody needs to play smart.
Woody might be lucky to play 20 minutes. My recollection is refs had him on bench for most of last year's game.
Mackey is a tough place to play no doubt but this Hawk team can shoot and score points. They did it tonight against a damn tough fast and athletic D...and pretty big too. Not as big as PU but that may help this team on offense getting off perimeter shots...
More impressive though was the Hawk's D tonight... Settles pointed this out after the game. I am not expecting a win but the pressure is on PU to hold serve as they should and after tonight's win....the Hawks have some big mo and some confidence going into this game.
Hawks need to hope Purdue doesn't space well and isn't hitting from outside. Hawks will probably play a lot of zone, and I really like the press with Baer at the point as a change up. I think Davis is going to minimize Jok's open shots, so I think we need a huge game from Uthoff to win.

I think Iowa is going to be a really tough matchup for Purdue if the refs let the bigs play physical.

I don't know the rest of your lineup at all, but you will most likely see Rapheal Davis as the primary defender on Uthoff. If not Ray, then Vince Edwards.
Hayes or Brown would have been the primary on Swanigan. The great thing about Caleb is he doesn't have the slightest bit of 5-star prima donna about him. If the shots are not falling, he'll defer to others. Despite the 0 points, he still pulled down his 9 boards and looked to feed the post all night.
