Purdue Will Be A Problem

Well, for starters we won’t play undisciplined man defense all night like OSU. It’s amazing how poorly coached they are—they just get away with talent. We probably want to play a lot of nickel and zone coverages. Need to get our hands on these guys at the line of scrimmage to disrupt all the crossing action.

Agreed. Looks like their players thought no preparation was needed for Purdue, beneath them to prepare just like going to Iowa City last year. Urban is a tool of the first order, and he can't lose enough in my opinion.

Purdue won't have the express lane down the middle of the field like they did tonight. Not that they can't do other things, but OSU's defense seems to have gotten worse every week since Bosa went down.

The opponent could be Wartburg, he'd make a post about how Iowa needs to watch out.

Everyone is a problem until they play us. We can beat everyone left on our schedule. We're actually a b**ch for other teams to play so have some faith. That being said, Rondale Moore is a candidate for POY in the BIG10. We need to hit him and hit him hard...even when the ball isn't going his direction. Make him pay for being on the field. Prior to him, make Trace McSorley's life so miserable that he can't even lift his arms for that douche home run swing.

Purdue is a fine team ... that game will totally be a challenge. On the flip side ... I think the Hawks play much better team D than OSU.

I'll be fascinated to see how things play out in that game.

Let's remember this Iowa defense is tops in the nation #5 coming into today that will improve after today. My confidence is gaining every week with this team.

Purdue looks good. PS sucks...Northwestern very mediocre. Hawks really looking good...But don't bet your bankroll on the Hawks going undefeated the rest of B1G play...

Purdue's defense isn't that good. OSU threw the ball over 70 times because of their inept running attack. Iowa will be much more balanced on offense and should be able to run the ball to control the clock and keep Purdue's offense off the field...same idea as yesterday but with (hopefully) better conditions in which to throw.

Or maybe Purdue should be shaking in their Boilermaker boots knowing they have Michigan State coming up next and then, uh-oh, IOWA--two teams that actually play defense.

We are fans so we get to look ahead. I think we are better than PSU and Purdue but playing those games on the road make them both about 50/50 imo. I think it will come down to turnovers and which team takes advantage of red zone opportunities. We need to eliminate the big plays by Moore too.

The next two weeks will determine whether we have an okay, good or great season.

Going to say remember how we followed up our big win after Osu by crapping our pants in Madison. Purdue faces a tough defense in Michigan st in east Lansing next week.

This....MSU scum will be waiting in East Lansing after losing to Meat chicken...rough to get up two weeks in a row after a big win the week before... could easily see Sparty winning here
