We hear a lot of measurables for football but not for basketball.

Just wondering who the top 3 are in each of these categories:
1 Vertical?
2 Hands?
3 Wingspan?

None of this takes away from BB IQ, attitude, effort, prep, off-season work leadership etc.

My guesses:
1 Vertical: Cook, Uhl, Wagner
2 Hands: Garza, Nunge, Cook
3 Wingspan: Garza, Nunge, Kriener

My educated guesses going off memory.

1. Cook Wagner , Moss,

2. Cook, no clue on the rest.

3. Williams, Kreiner, dont know on rest.

I wouldn't be shocked if Baer was actually top 3 in vert. The dude seems to surprise everyone with his ability to get up and block/contest shots.

I expect Cook is for sure on the largest hands list given what he does around the rim, holding the ball with one hand.

Kriener has Garza by a bit on wingspan for sure (Garza is taller, so I think standing reach is very very close). Nunge is probably on the list, and I think Uhl has a large wingspan too? I think Williams has a surprisingly long wingspan too.

I thought that I read somewhere that Williams actually had one of the best verticals on the team......that might be wrong. This old brain has some short circuits in it.

My brain is no better. But I think a couple summers ago he had the highest vertical on the team and it made it to twitter. I can't imagine anyone we've brought in since having a better jump...but I do wonder with his nagging injuries if he can still get up as high.

Having Ups is a plus as far as shot blocking but timing is probably just as important. Baer definitely shows he has both.

So just a lot of guesses so far..

The one i think we can all be fairly sure of is Cook with the biggest hands.

You rarely see anyone palm the ball and one hand dunk with their off hand.

Agree on Cook, that one is pretty sure thing. Rarely see anyone dunk the way he does with his off hand.

I thought ive read both Williams and Kreiner have a 7ft + wingspan.

Kreiner has big hands also. Watch the next time he shoots a hook shot.

There's going to be some big boys with long arms in the back of the Iowa defense. Looking for some one handed rebounds as well.
